Our New Home:
In looking for a place to live, we prayed for favor and faithfulness that we will find a nice landlord and nice but affordable apartment. After looking around, we found just what we asked for. I did something out of ordinary when we up signed for it because we didn't have money nor any logical idea where it would come from, but we (actually Sam) knew that God will provide if it's the place that he has for us. A day before due date, we counted what we have and it was just enough for what we needed. There was no way to explain it apart from Jesus multiplying his provision for our needs.Once again, God has shown us his faithfulness through miracles, and we look forward for our home where His glory dwells.
Work and School:
About ten years ago, I had two dreams. One is to bring the fatherless back to the father and the second is to have a non-profit business providing job training and opportunity for people to start a new life. And so for a long time, I wanted to study business to gain more understanding on how things work and I know that this is the right time to start. I found the right school and was able to pass my entrance exam. I also found a temporary job as a researcher for a financial magazine. Sam has also decided to work part-time as a teacher again keeping her hand in working with children. She got offered to teach again in the kindergarten where she taught last year.
Ministry:
We have always believed that our life is a ministry, that no matter what we do it will be to worship Jesus and share what we've been given to those in need. For many years, we have been priveledged to work, grow, do training, serve and live with St. Stephens full time. The next challenge ahead for us, apart from bringing Jesus to our school and work, is to help one of St, Stephens congregations in the New Territories. It's a small congregation but growing really fast so that we are desperately looking for a bigger place to meet on Sunday. So far, Sam and I have been involved in supporting a couple of homegroups and couples evenings (meeting). And our hope is that as we share Jesus in our work place and neighborhood, we'll begin to integrate people from different walks of life into the congregation.
